here's what we've been doing the last few tuesdays...

venturing through tunnels

touching the sand

exploring at the tidepools

playing with sea anemone's

chasing the waves

running away from the waves

dancing with seawead

examining jellyfish

sifting through rocks and shells

jumping off rocks

fighting off pirates and hunting sharks

climbing

enjoying sweet treats

finding furry caterpillars

hiking

building forts

picnicing

finding "gold"

swinging from trees

listening to our echo

drawing in nature

capturing lizards

we love our tuesdays.

it's a time for us to play, invent,

imagine, explore, socialize,

learn and have fun.

really, who could ask for more?

my girl in the nutcracker

little miss avery just landed her first role in the ballet, the nutcracker.

she will be appearing as one of the little lambs. we can't wait and we

are so excited for her. more pictures to come in december...

doin the laundry

kindergarten couldn't be better. little miss avery enjoyed a day living life

as an apple farmer at a nearby orchard called riley's apple farm.

amongst other fun activities, one of the things she got do was the

laundry. she did it all from pumping the water to get started to

hanging her apron on the clothes line to dry.

my girl's a kindergartener

my girl avery started kindergarten last tuesday. we home school and

we met with our nature group for the first day of "school".

garrett's so cute

"garrett's so cute." this is what my girl avery

has been saying for the past few weeks.

everytime she says this my heart melts.

she loves this little guy who has come into

her world, takes all her toys, wears her

sunglasses, shoes, jewelry, clothes, etc,

and eats her markers to name a few, but

she loves this little fella and she thinks he's

cute and i love that. i hope that she always

feels this way about her little brother. i hope

that they are always friends. i hope that they

will always love each other. i have to agree

with her, he is pretty cute. take a look...

tooth fairy time

my girl avery lost her second tooth today.

we've been waiting for this little guy to come out

for a long time, so long that the new tooth

has already grown in behind it.

but, it's out and where excited for a visit from the

tooth fairy tonight. i remember when this little tooth

first appeared and i can't believe it's already been

replaced. my baby is growing up.

all i can say is bitter sweet.

i love these moments, but they happen so fast

that i already miss them.

dad + barbies = cuckoo

the other day we had some family play time.

little miss avery and i were enjoying styling our barbies

while the mister and the little fella played ball,

but somehow the mister ended up with one of the dolls

and this is what it led to...

some crazy styling

and wackiness

that just continued to get wackier.

we all had some good laughs and fun times,

but we might think twice next time the mister

tries to play barbies with us.
